Project Overview

FINOT Engineering and Trading Plc was engaged by Nantong Construction Group Co. Ltd.
(Ethiopia Branch) as a designated sub-contractor for the execution of major civil construction activities within the BELES-1 Sugar Factory Project. The assignment formed part of the
main contract between the Ethiopian Sugar Corporation and Nantong, and required the
delivery of complex and high-quality civil engineering works essential to the factory’s overall infrastructure.
The project scope included a wide range of structural, underground, and finishing works.
Key tasks completed under this contract comprise:

  • Factory Internal Rigid Pavement Road Works, involving the construction of durable internal road networks capable of supporting heavy industrial traffic.

  • Underground Civil Works, including foundations, tunnels, conveyor belt foundations, pedestals, and weight bridge structures.

  • Superstructure Civil Works, such as slabs, columns, conveyor belt pedestals, corbels, and other technically demanding structural components.

  • Cable Trench Construction, supporting the factory’s electrical and communication infrastructure.

  • Masonry Works required for various building components within the facility.

  • Finishing Works, including plastering, painting, and tiling to ensure functional and aesthetic completion of structures.
